Beef Bulalo (Filipino Beef Shank Soup)

Beef Bulalo is a well known Filipino comfort food with either regular cabbage or Napa cabbage. It is usually eaten during Cold season because of being a soup, Filipinos love bulalo for it's sweet taste and flavor


Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lbs. beef shank
  • 8 to 10 cups water
  • 1 piece beef bouillon
  • 2 onion sliced
  • 2 corn sliced
  • ½ cabbage 
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons fish sauce

Instructions

  1. Pour 4 cups water in a pressure cooker pot. Let boil.
  2. Add the beef shank, corn, and beef bouillon. Cover and pressure-cook for 25 minutes.
  3. Remove the cover once the pressure is out.
  4. Pour additional water. Let boil.
  5. Add fish sauce, cabbage. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
